Watertown, SD
to Minot, ND

403 miles
6 hours, 50 minutes

Awoke to have homemade waffles with Lee. He used his industrial strength waffle maker, which he received as trade for another used motorcycle. Damn good waffles! Then we went down to the lake to ride on some of the curvy roads in the area. He let me ride his Moto Guzzi, which was fun. That bike really has some "get up & go. . . " If I had more time, I would have ridden on all of his bikes.

All the rooms were already filled in Williston, ND so I opted for Minot, ND instead, which was a little shorter ride. Lots of open flat prairie lands and the blue skies were filled with white puffy clouds. Temps were a cool 66 degrees. Normally 66 is pretty warm, but this was a windy day so it was a cold 66 instead. Got to the motel before sunset and I took the extra time to hit a laundromat. I guess they aren't used to motorcycles coming in to do laundry, as I got a few funny stares. This laundromat had a car wash on the side too, so I was really able to take care of business.

Cumulative motorcycle return waves today: 360
